History of Oddington
Oddington is a village brimming with history; records of the village date back to 681 AD.
The church of St Nicholas in the village dates back to the 12th century and is home to one of the largest and well-preserved medieval wall paintings in Britain - the artwork was only discovered in the 20th century when renovations revealed the historic work.
Traditionally a cattle farming and traditional trades village, Oddington has always been a prosperous village. Large manor houses and mansions have increasingly populated the village over the previous centuries.
